Retired Senior Public Prosecutor, Deputy Chairman
After his second State Examination in Law, and from 1979 onwards, Robert Bungart worked as Public Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Aachen, and at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Cologne from 1982.
From 1990 onwards, he dealt with proceedings from the field of economic crime. From 2007 to 2014, he was Senior Public Prosecutor and Head of the Department for Organised Crime in Economic Matters and Corruption, where he gathered his first experiences with criminal offences that were reported by whistleblowers.
After his retirement in May 2014 and on account of his professional experience, he decided to carry out some voluntary work in cooperation with Whistleblower-Netzwerk in Cologne.
