As a singer-songwriter, writer, actor, and composer, Konstantin Wecker, born in 1947 in Munich, is one of the most versatile artistic personalities in the German-speaking area. His artistic foundation is formed by a classical music education and the enthusiasm for poetry, which was supported by his mother. In 1968 Konstantin Wecker appeared as a singer-songwriter for the first time, he achieved his breakthrough in 1977 with the ballad „Willy“ and the album „Genug ist nicht genug“. For his political commitment, Konstantin Wecker was awarded the Kurt Tucholsky Prize in 1995 and the Erich Fromm Prize in 2007 together with Eugen Drewermann.
